Kipo Natomah

General Manager

Kipo is an Agricultural Development Professional with a Bachelor of Agriculture Technology (Renewable Natural Resources Management option) and over ten years’ working experience in facilitating food and nutrition security projects that are focused on increasing the productive capacity of smallholder farmers in the maize, sorghum, soyabean, and cotton value chains using appropriate agronomic technologies such as Climate-Smart Agricultural (CSA) practices. Proficient in utilizing stakeholder and partnership collaboration and engagement to enhance efficient and prompt project implementation to achieve project goals and objectives. He has special skills in facilitating trainings to support field staff and farmers to effectively and efficiently deliver their core results. As the General Manager of Training and Extension for Conservation Agriculture in the Savannah (TECAS), he currently leads a team of 8 officers and is directly responsible for the promotion of CA and the improvement of farmers’ understanding of CA principles and practices through the establishment of demonstration plots.

 

 

Sumaila Mitchell Suleman

Logistic and Inventory Officer

In 2019, he graduated from Dr. Hilla Liman Technical University with a degree in Agricultural Engineering, specializing in the Soil and Water. He then completed his mandatory National Service with the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research and the Savannah Agricultural Research Institute (CSIR-SARI). In 2020, he began working as an intern with the Market Oriented Agriculture Programme (MOAP) in the tree crops section. Suleman is now in charge of inventorying all farm equipment as well as monitoring all equipment in the field. He comes on board with good communication skills with immense command over Dagaare, Waale, English and Twi. His efforts have resulted in the timely scheduling of tractor servicing throughout the operational region.

Edmond Bonglaanaa Pegyi

Finance and Administrative Assistant

Edmond started the Finance and Administrative Officer role at Training and Extension for Conservation Agriculture in the Savannahs (TECAS) on September 1, 2023. He previously worked as a finance and administrative assistant at Agriculture and Finance Consultants, AFC, Ghana. Edmond grew up in one of the farming districts, Lawra, and earned his BSc. Degree in November 2021 from the University for Development Studies, Tamale, Ghana. From November 2021 to September 2022, Edmond was an administrative assistant at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Market-Oriented Agriculture Programme in the North-West of Ghana (MOAP-NW). Edmond joined MAK Planning and Management Consults in December 2022 to undertake research as a field officer. He has worked with the University for Development Studies’ Farm in Damongo to support maize production in a short period of time. Edmond has experience in finance and administration, data management and analysis, and monitoring and evaluation. He has about 3 years of experience in finance and administration.

 

Tabormah Charles

Technical Officer

Since 2014, Charles has obtained an HND in Agricultural Engineering from Dr. Hilla Liman Technical University. Charles has worked as an enumerator and field inspector for the Market Development Programme for Northern Ghana (MADE) and CARE International, respectively. Currently, he is in charge of teaching, sensitizing, and promoting CA mechanical service to farmers in the Upper West Region districts of Jirapa, Nandom and Lawra.

Dassah Elvis Banungzaala

Technical Officer

Elvis started with TECAS in 2019 as a Field Advisor and has worked his way up to become a Technical Officer. Since 2014, Elvis has held an HND in Agricultural Engineering from Hilla Limann Technical University. Currently, he is in charge of sensitizing and promoting CA mechanical services to farmers in the Upper West Region districts of Nadwoli, Jirapa and Daffiama-Busie-Issa (DBI).
